The countryside in the UK offers the most wonderful array of scenes and colours, from local agriculture to the vast landscapes of our National Parks. There are an infinite amount of photographic possibilities; you can stand in the same field throughout the year and get completely different scenes depending on the time of day, or the season.

I feel remarkably peaceful when I’m photographing landscapes, and when I seek solitude, I know I can find happiness in a field of crops, as the sun is setting, camera in hand.

Of course, landscape photography also has its downsides – mainly the wrong kind of clouds, or too much sun, or not enough sun… And I’ve learnt NEVER to trust weather forecasts!
